Vienna VPS Are Available Again

Vienna is available again. If you tried to order a VPS from us in the last few weeks and could not pick Austria, that was not a bug: the location was full, and we take a location off the order form rather than sell servers we cannot provision. Today a new node went online in Vienna, so both the hourly VPS plans and the streaming VPS plans can be deployed there once more.

Which plans are available in Vienna

All of them. The six hourly plans, Ion through Titan, and the six streaming plans, Flux through Vortex, are orderable in Vienna with exactly the specs they have in every other location.

• Hourly VPS (Ion, Pulse, Core, Forge, Apex, Titan): KVM virtual machines from 2 GB to 32 GB of RAM, billed by the hour. Good for tests, short projects and anything you want to switch off without paying for a full month.
• Streaming VPS (Flux, Surge, Torrent, Cascade, Delta, Vortex): the same sizes on a 10 Gbps port with unmetered traffic, built for OBS, RTMP and HLS origins that push a lot of outbound video.

What Vienna costs

The Austria location fee is the same as the German one, so Vienna and Frankfurt cost the same, plan for plan. The table shows the monthly price in Vienna. Hourly plans spread the fee across the hours: an Ion in Vienna works out at about €0.0084 per hour instead of €0.0063, and the order page shows the exact rate for your currency before you confirm. Prices are in euro, before VAT where it applies, with unmetered traffic on every plan.

Who Vienna is for

Vienna is the closest of our locations to Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia and the south of Germany. Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Munich and Zagreb are all within a few hundred kilometres, so users there get a fraction of the latency they see towards Amsterdam or Paris. That difference is invisible on a static website and very visible on a game server, a trading bot, a voice server or an interactive app.

It is also a good fit for anyone who has to keep data inside Austria or inside the EU for a contract, and for streamers whose audience is concentrated in the DACH region. About the new node

The Vienna node matches the hardware class of the rest of our fleet and was built with mirrored SSD storage pools from the start, so a single disk failure does not take anything down. Every plan is a full KVM virtual machine with dedicated RAM and vCPU, not a container sharing a kernel with strangers.

2. Select Austria as the location. The price updates immediately.
3. Pick an operating system, check out, and the server is ready a few minutes later.
