OVHcloud runs its own datacenters at enormous scale across Europe and North America, builds its own chassis, and prices the Rise and Advance ranges aggressively as a result. If you need a standard configuration in a standard location and you are comfortable with self-service support, it is genuinely hard to beat on price per unit of hardware.
The complaints that send people searching for an alternative are consistent and structural rather than incidental: support that routes through a ticket queue rather than a person, a steep price step between ranges, and a standardised catalogue that does not bend to unusual requirements. At the time of writing OVHcloud lists Advance from around $163/month, Scale from around $765/month and High Grade from around $1,777/month, so a workload that outgrows one range does not step up gently.
voxa.host is a much smaller operation, and that is the trade. We run 12 datacenters across Europe and the US, sell dual-socket Xeon and EPYC bare metal from €225/month with no setup fee, and answer tickets ourselves rather than through tiers. Is voxa.host cheaper than OVHcloud?
For dual-socket configurations, generally yes: our Dual Xeon E5-2699 v4 with 44 cores and 256 GB is €325/month with no setup fee. OVHcloud is often cheaper at the entry end of the Rise range for single-socket machines. Compare the specific configuration you need rather than the headline price.
Can I migrate from OVHcloud without downtime?
Yes, with planning. We provision your new server in under an hour so you can run both in parallel, sync data, and cut DNS over once you have verified the new environment. Tell us your setup and we will help sequence it.
Do you have a private network like OVHcloud vRack?
No. We do not offer an equivalent to vRack. If your architecture depends on a private L2 fabric across multiple servers, OVHcloud remains the better fit.
What locations do you have compared to OVHcloud?
Twelve: Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris, London, Bucharest, Warsaw, Madrid, Vienna, Sofia, Milano, Istanbul and Ashburn. OVHcloud has considerably more, including Asia-Pacific and Canada, which we do not cover.
