Several configurations run the other direction, with the first-year price below the recurring one. Either way, the number you sign up at is not necessarily the number you pay in month thirteen.
The second detail is the traffic policy. "Unlimited traffic" carries a fair-usage clause, which is a meaningfully different promise from an unmetered port. For a workload that genuinely saturates its link — streaming, CDN origin, backup targets — the distinction matters, and it tends to matter at exactly the moment you can least afford it.

Does Contabo raise prices after the first year?
Their dedicated servers are listed with a first-12-months price and a separate recurring price. On several configurations the recurring price is lower; on others it is higher. Read the specific configuration carefully — the point is that the two numbers differ. Ours do not.
What does "fair usage" mean on unlimited traffic?
It means the provider reserves the right to act if your usage is judged excessive, without a published threshold. An unmetered port is a different commitment: the port runs at its listed speed and you may saturate it.
Is voxa.host more expensive than Contabo?
On headline price for comparable modern single-socket hardware, often yes. Compare the recurring price rather than the promotional one, and factor in whether your traffic profile makes the fair-usage clause relevant.
